Custom Vehicle Fitment Not Guaranteed
Custom vehicles often have changes—lift or lowering kits, brake swaps, axle or hub conversions, spacers/adapters, rolled fenders—that alter factory specifications. Because those changes vary by build, we cannot guarantee wheel fitment on custom vehicles. Below is exactly how to measure and verify your setup so you can choose wheels with confidence.
Measurements
Clearance Checks
- Dry fit a bare wheel on the hub (no tire) to check hub engagement and spoke-to-caliper clearance.
- Backspacing test: Straightedge the hub face to inner fender/suspension and compare to wheel backspacing. Adjust with offset choice and, if needed, quality adapters/spacers; read Adapters & Spacers Guide.
- Turn & travel: Cycle steering lock-to-lock and compress suspension (as safely possible) to verify fender and liner clearance.
- Tire sizing sanity check: Use the Plus/Minus Sizing Calculator to stay within overall diameter targets.
Safety & Load Ratings
- Choose wheels and tires that meet or exceed your vehicle’s load needs; confirm tire speed/load indexes: Tire Load & Speed Ratings.
- Use the correct seat type hardware (conical, mag, ball), torque to spec, and re-torque after 50–100 miles. Learn more in Are Your Wheels Safe?
- Returns policy note: Always test fit before mounting tires; wheels with mounted tires generally cannot be returned.
